Freshmap compared to Garmin TopoActive

Mapping:

Many Garmin handheld GPS units come preloaded with Garmin's TopoActive mapping.

In New Zealand, the scale of this mapping is around 1:85,000 scale.

However, for an additional $100 (for each unit), Freshmap, at 1:50,000 scale, can be added.

Freshmap mapping is the image on the left.

TopoActive mapping is the image on the right.

The screenshots are taken from the same GPS (a Garmin GPS64x) in exactly the same location at exactly the same scale.
